Humeral Proximal Nail
Overview
The Proximal Humeral Nail is designed to treat complex proximal
humeral fractures.
Locking technology allows all
proximal multiple angled screws to be rigidly locked to the nail to
prevent potential screw back out, commonly associated with nailing
proximal humeral fractures.
Features & Benefits:
Two proximal transverse screws, 30 degrees anteverted and retroverted, and one oblique screw at 45 degrees in the frontal plane
- Optimize locking of proximal humeral head fragments
End cap and locking sleeve system
- Locks all three proximal screws and prevents potential screw back out
"Push button" targeting jig
- Maximize ease of use in prepping and drilling proximal and distal screws, and facilitates fluoroscopic imaging
Cannulated nails accept guide wire
- Maintains reduction through guided instrumentation
Material: titanium with TiMAX surface treatment
- Offers a lower modulus of elasticity and increased fatigue strength over stainless steel
