Compliance Manual for Screened Business Partners
All third parties who are required to complete Zimmer Biomet’s due diligence process must adhere to the requirements and expectations of the Compliance Manual for Screened Business Partners, except distributors and sales agents in the United States and Canada, who must follow the U.S. and Canada Sales Distributor and Direct Territory Compliance Manual. Adhering to this Manual is part of our third parties’ contractual obligations to Zimmer Biomet, and failure to do so will result in negative consequences, up to and including termination. The Manual is available in 21 languages, including English.
Screened Business Partner Training
All third-party employees who are involved in Zimmer Biomet business must be trained on Zimmer Biomet’s compliance requirements. The training will help to understand Zimmer Biomet’s Compliance requirements, including the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, anti-corruption and anti-bribery requirements, and the contents of the Compliance Manual. The training is available in 21 languages, including English.
Quick Reference Guide: Best Practices for Audits & Monitoring
Periodically, Zimmer Biomet performs audits and monitoring of Screened Business Partners (SBPs) and sub-distributors related to Zimmer Biomet activities to ensure adherence to the Zimmer Biomet Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, the applicable Compliance Manual, contractual obligations, and all applicable laws, regulations, and industry codes. This Quick Reference Guide provides helpful tips on general business best practices and includes a checklist of actions to consider when preparing for these activities.
Anti-Corruption Policy Certificate
As part of the due diligence process, business partners complete an anti-corruption certification stating their commitment to complying with the anti-bribery laws. This certificate is available in 15 languages, including English.
Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
The Zimmer Biomet Code of Business Conduct and Ethics embodies our commitment to the highest ethical standards and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Zimmer Biomet expects our distributors, sales agents, joint venture partners, and other third-party agents and representatives to follow the Code when acting on our behalf. It is important for all business partners to read, understand, and follow the Code and applicable law. The Code is available in English as well as 30 additional languages.
