Oxford® Partial Knee Replacement

Overview

The Oxford Partial Knee can help you keep up to 75%* of your healthy knee.

Let’s say an apple represents your knee. With a total knee replacement, the entire surface must be removed. But with a partial knee replacement (PKR), like the most widely used1 and clinically proven2-3  Oxford® Partial Knee implant, you can keep up to 75%* of your healthy knee and have a faster recovery and more natural motion.4-9*

Is partial knee replacement surgery right for you?

Only your doctor can say for sure. But we can tell you this. Joint pain (osteoarthritis) in knees can sometimes only occur on the medial side of the joint (the side closest to your other knee). In knees that are otherwise healthy, partial knee replacement surgery can preserve your healthy bone, cartilage, and ligaments. You and your surgeon can determine if a partial knee replacement to relieve your knee pain is appropriate for you.

Important Safety Information

The Oxford Partial Knee is intended for use in individuals with osteoarthritis or avascular necrosis limited to the medial compartment of the knee and is intended to be implanted with bone cement. The Oxford Partial Knee is not indicated for use in the lateral compartment or for patients with ligament deficiency. Potential risks include, but are not limited to, loosening, dislocation, fracture, wear and infection, any of which can require additional surgery.
