Robotic Surgery for Your Unique Anatomy

Is Robotic Surgery Right for Me?

What is Robotic Surgery?

We designed ROSA®, the Robotic Surgical Assistant, to help your surgeon tailor your surgery just for you. Surgery using the ROSA® robot is a lot like non-robotic procedures. First, your surgeon creates the surgical plan. Next, a registration process is performed to help the robot match the plan to your anatomy. Lastly, the robot helps your surgeon execute the surgical plan.

Is Robotic Surgery Accurate?

The ROSA® Robotic Arm helps your surgeon perform your surgery accurately.1-4  These surgeries are often minimally invasive, aiming to reduce complications and future revision rates. Your surgeon stays in control of the entire procedure, while using the Robotic Arm as a tool. With robotic-assisted surgery, you can have peace of mind knowing that your implant or instrument will be placed in the right spot.

Surgery Personalized For You

ROSA® is used for different types of surgery, such as brain surgery and joint replacement. No matter which procedure you are having, your surgeon uses our planning software to create a surgical plan, which is individual to you and your anatomy.

Does ROSA Operate on its Own?

You can think of the robot as a surgical assistant. It does not operate on its own, and it does not move unless your surgeon prompts it to. Your surgeon is still in the operating room the entire time and makes all decisions throughout your surgery.
