The A.L.P.S. mvX™ IM Nail Z-KIT™ is leading the clinical trend towards the future for the treatment of metacarpal fractures with intramedullary nails. The system offers sterile non-compressive nails designed to aid in the reduction of metacarpal fractures, along with simple instrumentation packaged in a sterile kit. Intramedullary Nails

The A.L.P.S. mvX™ IM Nail Z-KIT™ offers 26 different non-compressive intramedullary nails in four diameters and up to seven different lengths to accommodate treatment of a broad range of metacarpal fractures. The nails were designed with a minimized head size to help surgeons avoid bone and soft tissue displacement along the articular surface. 

An All-Inclusive Sterile Instrument Kit

The system is highlighted by an all-inclusive sterile instrument kit designed to simplify the procedure and create efficiencies in the operating room. The kit includes all instrumentation necessary to prepare for and implant an intramedullary nail to repair a metacarpal fracture. It includes k-wires for fracture reduction and nail placement, various sized cannulated drills to prepare the metacarpal canal, a depth gauge and sizing template to determine diameter and length of the nail needed, and a T8 driver for nail insertion.

Individual Sterile Packaged Instruments

In addition to the all-inclusive instrument kit, the system was thoughtfully designed for flexibility and ease-of-use by including individual sterile packaged versions of all the instruments included in the main instrument kit, allowing surgeons to be prepared for anything in the operating room. 

A Highly Portable System

The system provides the sterile packaged intramedullary nails, the all-inclusive sterile packaged instrument kit, and the individual sterile packaged instruments all in a convenient and portable set intended for simplicity, convenience, and to ensure everything is at the ready for any metacarpal fracture.

  • The A.L.P.S. mvX™ IM Nail Z-KIT™ includes 26 different nails along with all the instruments needed to repair a fracture, all packaged in sterile kits.
  • The IM Nails are indicated for use in bone reconstruction, osteotomy, arthrodesis, joint fusion, fracture repair, and fracture fixation of bones appropriate for the size of the device. In addition to use for metacarpal fractures, the IM Nails may also be used for fractures in the foot, providing solutions for a broad range of common applications.

Expansive offering

  • The A.L.P.S. mvX™ IM Nail Z-KIT™ offers four families of intramedullary nails, available in diameters of 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5mm, to meet the evolving needs of metacarpal fracture fixation.
  • All nails are available in lengths from 40-70mm with the 3.0 and 3.5mm nails offering an additional shorter length of 30mm.
