The Leader in All-Suture Anchor Innovation

Experience the advantages of all-suture anchors, while augmenting the implant with a hydroxyapatite coating.

Now introducing OsseoCoat Technology, the JuggerKnot Soft Anchor implants are designed with a coating comprised of hydroxyapatite and bioceramic particles embedded in the anchor portion of the device.

Soft Tissue Repair with the OsseoCoat JuggerKnot Implant Platform

The OC JuggerKnot portfolio couples the clinical history and strength1 of the JuggerKnot All-Suture Anchors with a coating comprised of materials with osteoconductive properties2-4.

The platform consists of a variety of implant sizes with different suture configurations to accommodate an array of surgical procedures in the shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, and foot and ankle. Available single, double, and triple loaded with sliding or non-sliding MaxBraid™ Suture and BroadBand® Tape on arthroscopic and mini-open length inserters, the OC JuggerKnot platform addresses a range of indications such as shoulder labrum, rotator cuff, lateral epicondylitis, Achilles tendon repair, lateral ankle reconstruction, and more.

  • The coating is designed to be an implant SCAFFOLD to support overall framework and biostability of the implant.
  • OsseoCoat Technology is a coating comprised of Hydroxyapatite, Bionate® (Polycarbonate Polyurethane), and Calcium Sodium Phosphosilicate. These bioceramic particles are embedded in the surface of the suture anchor material to support the overall framework and biostability of the implant.
  • Hydroxyapatite: has been used as a coating for orthopedic implants for over 20 years to enhance implant osteoconductivity and biocompatibility.1,2*
  • Calcium Sodium Phosphosilicate: In vitro studies have shown superiority of bioactive glass over other materials in providing surfaces for the attachment of osteogenic cells for bone formation.5*
  • Osteogenic properties are thought to be due to the dissolution products (soluble silica and calcium ions) that stimulate osteogenic cells to produce bone matrix.6

*OsseoCoat Juggerknot has not been studied clinically to evaluate enhanced osteoconductivity and biocompatibility.

  • Deliver STRONG time-zero fixation7 and are designed with a surface coating comprised of materials with osteoconductive properties.
  • JuggerKnot Soft Anchors have demonstrated high pullout strength, with strength being equal or greater than some anchors two or three times larger.1 OC JuggerKnots have demonstrated substantially equivalent pull-out strength to traditional JuggerKnot Soft Anchors7.
  • All-Suture anchors can increase the points of fixation in a repair compared to hard body anchors and still violate a smaller amount of footprint. In a biomechanical study8, the additional medial passes improved the contact force with three all-suture anchors compared to two hard bodied anchors.

  • Due to the SMALL anchor size, there is less bone removal compared to rigid anchor fixation9, offering anatomical precision and facilitating revisability for future interventions.
  • All-suture anchors require smaller drill holes in comparison to comparable rigid anchors.8
  • A smaller footprint allows for less bone removal and disruption.9-11
  • Less bone removal for anchor placement allows for more tissue-to-bone contact.9
  • All-suture anchor body leaves no anchor hardware to contend with during shoulder arthroplasty surgery.
