OSS™ Orthopedic Salvage System
Comprehensive, Modular Platform
The OSS Orthopedic Salvage System is a comprehensive, modular platform providing surgeons with intraoperative flexibility often required during limb salvage procedures.

- Highly Porous Fixation Options
- Limb Salvage
Delivering a comprehensive solution for significant bone loss
The OSS System delivers multiple replacement options for patients suffering significant bone loss resulting from tumor resection, ligamentous deficiencies, trauma, bone deformities and/or the correction of previously failed total joint arthroplasty.
The distal femoral components of both the standard and reduced size (RS) systems are offered in 24 distinct replacement designs addressing a multitude of reconstructive scenarios.
A universal taper allows for complete interchangeability throughout the entire system, enabling standard and reduced size femur and tibia to be used together in any combination.
Available in a number of sizes and styles (non-modular short, non-modular long, modular). The OSS Reduced Size (RS) components offer a variety of replacement options for treatment in small adults and adolescents* (12-21 years).
*Only available in the United States
The OSS OsseoTi and OSS RS Proximal Tibial Sleeves are designed to replace between 3 cm and 9 cm of proximal tibia, using either the long non-modular tibial baseplates (OSS/OSS RS) or the modular tibial baseplate (OSS).
The OSS Proximal Tibial replacements are available in non-modular and modular standard size designs along with a modular RS body.
The OSS offering provides four options when proximal femoral bone loss is so severe that a minimum replacement of 7 cm is indicated.
A total femoral option is also available when replacement of the entire femur is necessary.
- The OSS System features a universal taper allowing complete interchangeability within the system
Modernized Instrumentation Platform
- Provides the surgeon with the ability to adjust resection length at .5 cm increments for accurate bone replacement
Reduced Sized Offering
- Biomet OSS Reduced size (RS) components offers a variety of component options for treatment in small adults and adolescents (12-21 years) that require proximal femoral, distal femoral, total femur, or proximal tibial replacement as well as, resurfacing components for the proximal tibia and distal femur (USA).
When used in conjunction with the Orthopedic Salvage System, the
Compress Device is designed to replace the distal and/or proximal
femur and/or humerus in cases of severe bone loss.
