Vanguard XP® Total Knee System

Bi-cruciate preserving total knee arthroplasty

The Zimmer Biomet Vanguard XP Total Knee System features a cruciate retaining design that allows healthy anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) and healthy posterior cruciate ligaments (PCL) to be preserved.

The Vanguard XP Total Knee System features:

  • An asymmetric femoral component, which supports physiologic motion
  • Independently designed medial and lateral bearings, allowing ACL/PCL interaction to drive knee motion
  • The ability to transition from bicruciate retaining to standard primary tray/bearings
  • Grounded in a heritage of clinical performance and innovation, Zimmer Biomet’s Vanguard XP Total Knee System marks a new era in modern cruciate retaining total knee design.

As part of the Vanguard® Knee System, the Vanguard XP Knee provides intraoperative flexibility, giving surgeons the ability to:

  • Use the U-shaped tray for an ACL/PCL preserving total knee
  • Use a cruciate retaining tibial tray for a PCL preserving total knee
  • Use anterior-stabilized bearings when the PCL is absent
