The Zimmer Biomet Trabecular Metal™ cones* offer an optimal combination of material and design providing structural support in the area of bone loss and offering an alternative to grafting procedures. Trabecular Metal material is biocompatible, up to 80% porous, and is structurally similar to bone. Its pore size and shape is designed to support biologic in-growth and vascularisation.1 Trabecular Metal material is made from commercially pure tantalum and designed to act as an osteo-conductive scaffold.

Trabecular Metal cones are designed to provide added support for the NexGen LCCK and RH Knee Systems with comprehensive sizing options to address type I, II and III defects.

* The Zimmer Biomet NexGen® Trabecular Metal tibial and femoral cones are for use only with the NexGen Complete Knee Solution System. When used with the LCCK System, the Trabecular Metal cones are for cementless or cemented use.

Trabecular Metal Technology. No other porous material so closely resembles the structure, function and physiology of trabecular bone.

Trabecular Metal material is a highly porous structure with a nano-textured strut architecture that creates an initial scratch fit and facilitates the long-term biologic attachment of orthopaedic implants via bone ingrowth. Trabecular Metal material is the most advanced fixation surface available for orthopaedic implants. Clinical use since 1997 demonstrates that this innovative technology provides excellent initial scratch fit and stable, long-term fixation. No other porous metal material so closely resembles the structure, function and physiology of cancellous bone.
